UNESCO's Man and the Biosphere (MAB) Program awards grants to 10 young researchers each year in support of their research on ecosystems, natural resources and biodiversity. Applications endorsed by the applicant's MAB National Committee must be submitted to the MAB Secretariat by 30 April. The deadline for submitting biosphere reserve nominations is also 30 April. Both these nominations and proposals for extensions to existing biosphere reserves will be examined by the Advisory Committee for Biosphere reserves.This blog seeks to spotlight noteworthy UNESCO science and communications programs; it emphasizes links between the United States and UNESCO.

Deadline approaching for research grant applications and biosphere reserve nominations

Applications endorsed by the applicant's MAB National Committee must be submitted to the MAB Secretariat by 30 April. The deadline for submitting biosphere reserve nominations is also 30 April.
