Read the book online.UNESCO-ROSTE launched its Science Policy Series with a study entitled 'Science, Technology and Economic Development in South East Europe'. The five countries concerned are: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, FYR of Macedonia, and Serbia and Montenegro. The publication underlines the urgent need for decision makers to take steps necessary to ensure that science and technology re-gain a leading role in national development strategies as a key element for the integration of concerned countries into the knowledge based society.
