UNESCO | Education - Bridging the gap between scientists and science educators in Asia and the Pacific:
Improved interaction and dialogue between scientists and science educators is the aim of a four-day regional conference that starts today in Shanghai, China. in much of Asia, "the gap between scientists and science educators stems from the traditional university setup where the science and education faculties are separate. When the faculties do not relate to each other, their students tend to follow the same mode of behavior."
