Science invents, it doesn't decide

Haaretz - Israel News - Science invents, it doesn't decide :

Israel's Michel Ravel "is a member of every influential committee investigating this subject (moral questions arising from scientific developments), including the Helsinki Committee on Genetic Research in Humans, the Health Ministry committee that authorizes new genetic experiments, and another Health Ministry committee aiming to 'define the status of the human embryo in the life sciences.' The recommendations of the latter committee will influence the limitation of experiments on human embryos. Ravel is Israel's representative on the UNESCO Bioethics Council, and chairs the Bioethics Committee of the Israel National Academy of Science."
